Dental Implants

What is a Dental Implant?

A dental implant is a titanium fixture that is surgically placed. The success rate of dental implants is 97%. Implant dentistry is becoming the standard of care for replacing lost teeth. Implants are also used to help hold in dentures and partials. Dr. Holden can provide the "All on 4" dental implant procedure which can give patients a full set of non-removable, replacement teeth during a single surgical appointment.

Single Implant Procedure

Step 1:  A consultation appointment is needed which includes a comprehensive exam, imaging as necessary, and discussion of your treatment options. We use state-of-the-art technology through 3D imaging technology that can locate anatomical structures and provide safe, predictable, and esthetic implant dentistry. (3D imaging provided at Dr. Holden's office).

Step 2: Placement of the dental implant. This is a surgical appointment where the titanium screw is placed as a substitute for the missing natural tooth root. Sometimes a bone graft or sinus lift is needed at this step but this will be discussed prior to the surgical appointment. The patient will leave with either a healing cap or a temporary tooth. Most people return to work the following day.

Step 3: Placement of a custom-made replacement tooth which will be done by your general dentist.
